The ETC should ensure that these people are not working. Stories of persons registering for work with the ETC and earning 100 euros a day are rife. Anyone who needs to have some alterations at his home will confirm with i am saying

Strike them off the records.
Not even in third world countries does it take more than 5 years to get a job. This is ample evidence that these people are unwilling to find work, therefore they are not entitled to receive any assistance.
A motivation which will make these people seek work is - hunger!
Failing that - give them a poster in a protest march of any kind and they will eagerly volunteer especially if the poster reads something like 'Govt. is unfair"!

Agree that some are abusing the system, but if you are over 40 and the older you are the worse it becomes, you do not easily find employment as employers want young persons as they are more energetic and can withstand more abuse.
This is not to say that the government should not tackle the abusers, far from it, but this is a reality that is here with us and cannot be denied.
