A 30-year-old football supporter attacked two police constables and damaged a car during Saturday's heated football match between Valletta and Birkirkara.

Simon Cassar from Valletta admitted to the charges against him during his arraignment yesterday and was sentenced to three months in prison, suspended for two years. He was also suspended from entering any sports facility for six months.

Valletta lost the match.
