The Dun Filippu Borgia Society will be launching a legal case against the Curia and the Joint Office tomorrow over St Helen's parish church.

The society, set up to safeguard the interests of Birkirkara residents, said it was taking the action because the Curia had in 1991 illegally passed on to the Joint Office the parish church of St Helen in Birkirkara.

According to the society, the property belongs to Birkirkara residents and the transfer went against the intention of its benefactors.

The society filed a judicial protest in 1997 and recently sent an official letter on the matter.
