Cherie Blair to address business breakfast in Malta

Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair’s wife Cherie will be in Malta next month to address a business breakfast being hosted by Catherine Gonzi, the Prime Minister’s wife.

The breakfast “balancing family and career” is being held on April 1 at the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Phoenicia in Floriana.

Mrs Gonzi told timesofmalta.com that the theme was chosen since this was the challenge many parents were facing today.

“To this effect Cherie Blair came to mind for a number of reasons.

“I’ve personally met Mrs Blair on a number of occasions, she is indeed renowned for speaking publicly about striking the family and career balance - as a mother of four, a barrister, a judge and wife of an ex-prime minister. Indeed this is a subject Mrs Blair is very familiar with,” Mrs Gonzi said.
