Pace set for London competitions

Jessica Pace, one of the country's leading table tennis players, has been invited to take part in two tournaments in London.

The first competition is a two-star junior tournament at the Cippenham table tennis centre. Around 200 players are expected to participate in what promises to be a high-level competition.

The second tournament will be staged in Cheltenham where the standard is expected to be higher than in Cippenham as this event also attracts some of the most promising girls outside London.

Throughout her stay in the UK, Pace will also train at the Ashford table tennis centre under the guidance of Niki Jarvis who is regarded as one of the top instructors in the UK. Pace will also have a few training sessions at the Reading table tennis club.

In recent weeks, Pace stepped up her preparations for her London commitments by practising with top players from Italy, Luxembourg and Spain on the Malta Junior Circuit.

Her participation in the London tournaments is sponsored by the local Table Tennis Nursery.
