Labour's action plan is the way forward

Being concrete and making tangible proposals that safeguard both our national interest and human dignity, the migration action plan put forward by the Labour Party is definitely the way forward to tackle the challenge of illegal immigration.

Malta had enough problems in the past, burdened by wars of other countries, but today the hour has come to show the world that it is ready to fight its own battles, successfully and in a humane way. In order to be respected by other countries in Europe and the world, the Maltese have to show that they are ready to fight their battles for their rights with greater sacrifices and with a greater will then ever before.

The hour has come to show that for us this island comes before everything else.

Every generation has the obligation to work on behalf of the next generation and make their lives better. If we fail to do this, we will be cursed by all generations that will come after us and they would be right.

The government now has to act with determination on these proposals and others made by other parties.

I urge those who grumble to support such proposals. Nobody is going to fix it if not us.
