The European Institute of Education's adventure in the Czech Republic has kicked off successfully. The EIE welcomed its first group of students on its campus situated at the University of Technology and Business in Ceské Budejovice.

The group consists of 17 students from Nepal who will be following two different courses. Six have opted for a diploma in management while 11 are studying to obtain an advanced certificate in management.

The students were welcomed by Petr Petr, head of EIE in the Czech Republic and Nicholas Sammut, head of the International Office at EIE.

Antonello Cappitta, president of EIE, remarked about the novelty of such a venture by a Maltese-owned company and wished the students success in their quest for knowledge, self-fulfillment and professional development.

"In today's highly competitive and globalised job-market, individuals are continuously striving to acquire an edge that will enhance their career prospects and secure better jobs and economic security. We at EIE are proud in helping the students develop their academic potential and skills which would help them face the challenges of the future."

The European Institute of Education is a licensed institute of further and higher education. It operates educational programmes from its campuses in Malta (head office), the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Jordan and Cyprus. It recently surpassed the 2,000 student mark.

EIE's courses are run in five different languages and are professionally designed to produce highly qualified professionals who will play important roles in commerce and industry. The students at EIE are middle and senior managers who are employed with top companies and organisations which recognise the validity of the institutes' programmes.

"We are constantly developing our wide range of flexible learning programmes in partnership with international universities. These are structured in ways to accommodate the working society," an EIE statement said.
