Three Premier League players were given a one-match suspension yesterday.
Marsaxlokk's Renato Conceicao has been banned after he collected his fourth yellow card in his side's 4-1 defeat to Hibs last weekend.
The Brazilian defender will miss Marsaxlokk's clash with Sliema Wanderers on Sunday. The latter will be without wing-back Alex Muscat who also earned his fourth booking in Saturday's 5-0 rout to Valletta.
Qormi's Joseph Chetcuti will have to skip his side's Relegation Pool match against Msida St Joseph on April 5. The forward has been disciplined after he received his fourth caution in Qormi's 2-1 defeat to Tarxien Rainbows on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Valletta suffered a fresh injury blow this week after Cleaven Frendo hurt his knee during training with the national team on Monday. Frendo is having medical tests to discover the nature and extent of his injury but he has already been ruled out of Valletta's league match against Birkirkara on Saturday.
Frendo is also highly doubtful for Malta's upcoming World Cup qualifiers at home to Denmark and away to Hungary.
The former Marsaxlokk winger joins Stefan Giglio on Valletta's casualty list. The City midfielder is recovering from a dislocated shoulder he suffered in a freak accident during a training session at a local gym.
