The local audit firm Attard Giglio and Co. has officially launched its newly rebranded company, Mazars Malta.
Mazars, one of the world's leading audit and advisory firms with representation in over 50 countries worldwide appointed Attard Giglio + Co at its annual partners' convention in Rome.
The launch was held at a reception at Palazzo Capua in the presence of Finance Minister Tonio Fenech.
Anthony Attard, managing partner of Attard Giglio + Co., addressed the guests. He spoke about the two important milestones they were celebrating, namely the 10th anniversary of the inception of Attard Giglio + Co and the culmination of their efforts with their appointment as Mazars Malta. He said: "What started out as a two-man firm in three rooms has now grown into a medium-sized, multi-disciplinary firm, with an excellent reputation for service and professionalism".
Mr Attard spoke of the trust that society places in the accounting profession stating. "It is also the trust that Mazars International are placing in us and in our country by accepting us as full members and forging a new chapter in their story as well as ours, to expand the global partnership that is based on integrity, independence, professional service and above all on trust."
Mazars partner Loïc Wallaert, responsible for the monitoring of European countries within the Mazars partnership, also addressed the guests. He spoke of the strong seven-year relationship between Attard Giglio and Mazars and the shared values and guiding principles which led to the full integration they had gathered to celebrate.
He said Mazars is built around people who share values which are stronger than their cultural differences, people who share the same ideas about the profession and who are fighting for excellence.
He listed the common values shared with Attard Giglio: "First, a very strong commitment to personal service to our clients and a strong culture of providing clients with personalised approach and solutions. Second, the people, behind a great firm, there are always great people and I can confirm that this is the case in Malta.
"Third, the location, Malta is also known as a strategic location for financial services with a central and pivotal role within the heart of Europe, therefore it was not only logical but also essential for us to have a fully integrated and very strong firm in Malta to better serve our clients by providing tailor-made audit, accountancy, tax and advisory services in a highly professional way."
