Obituary

CALLEJA GERA. On March 14, JOHN, aged 81, passed away peacefully in Toronto. He leaves to mourn his great loss his devoted wife Lina, his loving daughters Jo'Anna and Gilles, Geraldine and Murray, his beloved grandchildren Helena and Adrian, his sisters Joyce Falzon of Toronto and Rita Bonello Ghio, his sister-in-law Lina Calleja Gera, his wife's family, nephews and nieces, cousins, other relatives and many friends. The funeral takes place today at St John Evangelist's church, Weston, followed by interment. May he rest in peace.

CAMILLERI. On March 17, at St Vincent de Paul residence, ROŻARJA of Żurrieq, residing at Sliema, aged 85, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph, her children Carmena and her husband Tommy Caruana, Saviour and his wife Maria, Louise and her husband John Vella, and Roger and his wife Eve, her brother Salvu Bugeja, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 3.15 p.m. for the Żurrieq parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Żurrieq cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

DEBONO. On March 17, at Ward M4, Karin Grech Hospital, JOSEPH of Gżira, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary, née Sant'Angelo, his children Tom and his wife Bernadette, Marthese and her husband Martin Spiteri, Louise, widow of his son Charles, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sister Mary, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital today at 2 p.m. for the Gżira parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MONTEBELLO. On March 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, FRANCIS, aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Adelaide, his in-laws Evelyn Montebello and Jane Montebello, Mary and her husband Geoffrey Wareham, Charles Meilak and his wife Doris and Bennie Meilak, his nephews, nieces and their families, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for the Marsascala parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m., followed by interment at St Gregory Cemetery, Żejtun. Donations to Caritas, Floriana and Dar Nażaret, Żejtun, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

NAPPA. On March 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, VINCENT of Valletta, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria Stella, his sons Paul and his wife Angela, Carmen and her husband Mario Montesin, Emanuel and his wife Lily, Joe and Maria Assunta, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere was said on March 16 at St Paul Shipwrecked parish church, Valletta. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
