The article entitled Plans For New Residential Complex In Sliema, which appeared in The Times yesterday, inadvertently referred to a development brief when this should have been referred to as the local plan.

The local plan calls for a development brief to be drawn up about the Villa Bonici site and earmarks a number of requirements for the area. However, work on this brief has yet to start. Once it is drafted, the planning authority will issue it for public consultation for a minimum period of six weeks.

The application for the proposed development cannot be processed until the development brief is approved by the government.
