I am reading an MA in History of Art at the University of Malta and currently carrying out research on the easel paintings of Giuseppe Calì (1846-1930) in which the sea is portrayed. My dissertation title is 'The Sea in 19th Century Painting in Malta'.

I am reading an MA in History of Art at the University of Malta and currently carrying out research on the easel paintings of Giuseppe Calì (1846-1930) in which the sea is portrayed. My dissertation title is 'The Sea in 19th Century Painting in Malta'. The aim of this dissertation is study how the sea has imposed itself on the art scene in 19th century Malta.
