The Victoria and Xagħra scout groups turned up in full uniform for the church parade commemorating the founder of the Scout movement Lord Baden Powell.
The groups met near Ġgantija Temples and marched to the Xagħra Basilica where Mass was celebrated by Fr Joseph Cini.
After the scouts renewed their promises, they assembled on the church parvis for the investiture ceremony of six new Cub Scouts into the Seeonee Pack within the Victoria Group. Fr Cini also blessed three new colours - the first Gozo District colour donated by the Chief Commissioner Godwin d'Anas-tasi and two belonging to the Xagħra Scout Group.
