2IT company Megabyte, Air Malta, Bay Radio and Nexos Lighting have signed up as main sponsors for November's Digital Arts Expo to be held at the Bay Arena, St George's Bay, St Julian's.
Event director Jon Mallia says the companies represent a wide range of sectors which "clearly demonstrates the appeal of the DA Expo approach".
The event focuses on the link between IT, business and creativity, bringing IT suppliers together with users of the technology while emphasising the creative and innovative side of the relationship - a format that worked well at last year's first edition.
Megabyte's business development and marketing manager David Galea says this is what attracted the company to sponsor the event: "Megabyte has helped provide the infrastructural basis to this country upon which creative ideas have been developed. We have decided to fully back this event, because it has been a long time since we have seen an event of this quality that we think will make the younger generations excited about joining the IT platform."
Established in 1979, Megabyte is one of Malta's foremost IT organisations and has even managed to retain many of its earliest customers thanks to quality, and attention to service and support. The company has also made a name for itself internationally, most recently signing a prestigious contract with premier UAE airline Etihad.
"Advertising agencies, digital artists and film-makers, publishers and games developers all use ICT solutions - but the creative and innovative drive is also clear in corporate and business solutions developers. Digital Arts Expo 2009 is the only event of its kind in Malta that allows us to address all these sectors and to support digital innovation and creativity in its entirety," Mr Galea added.
