Week eight marked the end of round one in the Middlesea League at the SuperBowl, as a clearer picture begins to emerge as to how the season is shaping up.

Fina First remain eight points clear ahead of Ramis in second place, the two again picking up similar 6-2 wins over PharmaVet and Royal Shock respectively while third-placed Turu's Knights improved with a 100% victory over bottom side Nine.

Globalair Travel, in fourth place, beat The Clan 6-2 to put daylight between the two, while the other match, between HSBC and Blasters, ended in a four-all draw.

PharmaVet are still outside the drop zone despite coming off worst in a 6-2 result against Fina First.

Fina began with an easy 709-782 win, and then doubled their advantage with a very tight 769-774 in the second.

PharmaVet's game continued to gather momentum and they managed to bag their two-point share of the spoils with a 786-749 game three win.

Ramis continue to play 'follow-the-leader' by again mirroring Fina's winning margin at the expense of relegation-threatened Royal Shock.

It was actually the eventual losers who opened the scoring with a good 792-858 win in game one.

Ramis responded quickly, however, taking the second 833-807 to make it two-all.

They then won the last of the set 795-709 to bag the series points by 46 pins (2,420-2,374).
