UPIM opens in Gozo

UPIM, the well known Italian department store, has opened a store in Gozo following a collaboration agreement with Michele Peresso Group. The agreement provides for the opening of four large UPIM establishments in Malta and Gozo.

Michele Peresso will be investing €6 million for the purpose, creating a total of 55 new jobs.

The Gozo store, inaugurated by Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono, is at ‘The Duke’, in Republic Street, Victoria.

Mrs Debono congratulated UPIM srl, Michele Peresso Group and Island Developers Ltd for their new venture and highlighted the importance of such an investment by local and foreign private investors in Gozo particularly in the current economic scenario.
