It is hugely gratifying to see the new direction being taken by Mepa about development in villages. This is especially so with Mepa's stand on the development in the village of Balzan.
However, it is very worrying to see that the representative of the Labour Party was the only one voting in favour of this development and also that the sole Labour councillor on the Balzan council did not take part in the press conference given by the council. Can the Labour Party please explain whether this is going to be its stand on development in village cores if and when it is in government?
