On March 2, The Times carried three lovely photos in A Taste Of The Past.

In the air raid shelter photo there is an ornate porcelain candleholder and a white china mug. Hardly possible in those days! The "mugs" we used - if we had them at all - were white enamel with blue edging or simply a tin container or half of a cut-glass bottle. Candles were also stuck in any empty container available.
