New air and sea freight service

Shipping to and from the US by air or sea freight will now be more reliable and consistent through a new service just launched. Airsped Express and FedEx Trade Networks have reached an agreement for reciprocal air freight and sea freight services between Malta and the US, as well as Malta and a number of other worldwide destinations.

FedEx Trade Networks is the air and sea freight operating company of global transportation company FedEx Corporation, and it provides air and sea freight services to over 60 countries worldwide, with 72 offices in the US and Canada.

"This agreement compliments the existing worldwide transportation services already provided to our customers by FedEx Express. The whole spectrum of transportation modes - express courier, air and sea freight services are now available under one roof and one recognised global brand - FedEx," said Pierre Attard, managing director of Airsped Express Ltd, the Global Service Partner for FedEx here.

FedEx Express and FedEx Trade Networks can pick up cargo from or deliver cargo to any location in the US.

This is good news for those companies in Malta doing business or thinking of doing business with the US. Many businesses in Malta have until now been reluctant to venture into the US market due to a lack of a reliable and consistent service upon which they can build their business models.
