Tree falls on house, no injuries
A large tree snapped its trunk and fell on a house next to the Highway Garage in Balzan Valley this morning, injuring no one.
It caused slight damage to the house and Enemalta technicians had to be called to the scene to ensure that electricity cables were safe.

@ Victor Sammut
Being sarcastic will not help the owner much. I believe the comment should have been about planting a new tree which is sustainable in the long term whilst reducing the possibility of such danger.
@ James Scerri
I totally agree with what you asked.

That same kind of tree snapped in front of our house eight years ago in Hamrun. It also smashed a BMW parked nearby but fortunately landed on the only side of the area where there aren't any houses.
It was eaten from the inside by ants or termites.

Ok...the tree fell...that's unfortunate....but, will it be replaced by a younger tree?
Is landscaping still in the act?

It's surprising (well, it isn't really) that the experts of the Environmental Landscapes Consortium who, just over a year ago, were so quick to decimate the other trees in Balzan Valley because they "constituted a danger", failed to notice that this particular tree was rotten to the core and was much more of a danger than all the others.

Luckily no one was passing by or s/he could have been killed.
