Costantino Gouder, 28, of Valletta, was granted bail today after being accused of stealing jewellery worth up to €2,329 and causing damages during a burglary in Kola Xara Street, Rabat last July. He was also accused of violating a probation order.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera in granting bail, imposed a personal deposit of €3,000.

In another case, Hussein Osman Abdulah, a Sudanese migrant, was remanded in custody after having been accused of assaulting a public officer at Lyster Barracks on March 9. The officer was slightly injured.
