Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School, Naxxar, recently held a sports fair aimed at promoting sport as a way of life. The school's 1,700 students and staff were introduced to different sport disciplines including rugby, badminton, handball, table tennis, fencing, basketball and baseball through games held at the school's sports facilities.

Three Malta international football players - Ryan Fenech, Jamie Pace, and Gilbert Agius - visited the school and presented school head Pauline Miceli, with an official Malta football shirt.

Nutritionist Geoffrey Axiak delivered a lecture on nutrition and practical tips for a healthy lifestyle. There was also an exhibition on sports activities and profiles of top sports athletes at the school.

Fun games and activities were also organised for all students and staff.
