Fedex Malta partner signs deal on freight to US

Airsped Express and Fedex Trade Networks have reached an agreement for air freight and sea freight services between Malta and the US, as well as Malta and several worldwide destinations.

Fedex Trade Networks is the air and sea freight operating company of global transportation company Fedex Corporation and provides air and sea freight services to over 60 countries. It has 72 offices in the US and Canada.

"This agreement compliments the existing worldwide transportation services already provided to our customers by Fedex Express. The whole spectrum of transportation modes - express courier, air and sea freight services are now available under one roof and one recognised global brand," Pierre Attard, managing director of Airsped Express Ltd, the global service partners for Fedex in Malta, said.

Fedex Express and Fedex Trade Networks can collect cargo from or deliver to any location in the US. Many businesses in Malta have until now been reluctant to venture into the US market due to a lack of consistent service on which to build their business models.
