Appreciation - Rita Camilleri

Rita was a very special lady. To her husband Frans: an adorable wife, to her children Alison and Owen: a dedicated mother, to her grandchildren: a very special nanna, to her brother: still his "little sister".

To us all at the National Council of Women she was a special friend, secretary, organiser, photographer and always ready to help.

She had many talents. She loved music and icons, which she exhibited in her lovely home and shared with many people. She was always very smart.

Six years ago Rita faced the big C. She fought it with her indomitable spirit. It upset her to see how it disrupted her family. With all the ups and downs, she used to attend meetings whenever she could. We all loved her.

Now she is to enjoy her well-deserved rest after her exhausting battle.

As she rests in the arms of the Lord, may she remember us all till we meet again.
