Obituary
CASSAR. Suddenly, on March 5, at home, surrounded by her family, GIUSEPPA, of Siggiewi, passed away two days before her 93rd birthday. She leaves to mourn her loss her children, Can. Provost Archpriest of St Helen's parish church, Birkirkara, Anthony Cassar, Mary Rose, wife of Dr Francis Bonello, and John, her grandchildren Gabrielle, wife of Jean-Paul Ganado, Richard and his girlfriend Claire, Claire, wife of Brian Schembri, Michael and Pippa, her most treasured great-grandchildren Luca, Rebecca and Hannah, her sister Rose, her lifelong carer Maria Cilia, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 9.30 a.m. at St Nicholas parish church, Siggiewi, followed by interment in the family grave at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Siggiewi. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, and the Social Action Movement, will be appreciated. May she rest in peace.
PISANI. On March 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sons Sandro and his wife Moira, Martin, David and his wife Elise, and Stephen and his wife Sharon, and his grandchildren Vanessa, Julia, Jeanine, Ella and Gabrielle, his sisters Pawlina and her husband Joseph, Giovanna, Agnes, Mary, other family members, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday for St Julians parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.Lord, grant him eternal rest.
VASSALLO. On March 6, at his residence in Siggiewi, GEORGE (ex-Chargeman, Malta Drydocks), aged 82, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Pawla, his children Nicholas and his wife Josephine, Peter Paul and his wife Mary, and Marianne, widow of Tarcisio Bugeja, his grandchildren Diana, Daphne and her fiancé Gareth, Simone and her husband Jason Camilleri, Martin and his fiancée Daniela, Teres and her fiancé Mark, Lara and her husband Jonathan Borg, Sara and her husband Tristan Camilleri, his sister Carmena, his sisters-in-law Carmena and Nikolina, great-grandchildren, numerous relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves his residence today at 2.45 p.m. for St Nicholas parish church, Siggiewi, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m., followed by interment at Siggiewi cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Trenching works
Trenching works will be carried out by Enemalta along Marfa Street, Mellieha from Monday until further notice. Parking will not be permitted but traffic will not be affected.
