I was surprised on my recent visit that there was a refundable charge of €1 for the use of a baggage trolley at the airport. It is a good idea. Now all trolleys are returned to a trolley park where one can get the euro coin back. However there is one problem.
Not all arriving passengers use the euro as their currency, which means that without a euro coin one is left without a trolley. I thought I would write this letter to warn anyone coming from countries outside the eurozone to try and obtain a euro coin before arriving in Malta.
