Balzan on top in Attard 10K

Jonathan Balzan may still be savouring the victory in the Land Rover Malta Half Marathon last Sunday but in his build-up to that race, the St Patrick's AC runner had also ran and won the traditional Attard 10K.

Balzan breasted the tape first in the men's race ahead of Brian Magri and Richard Chetcuti with Jason Martin, Johann Galea and Joseph Saliba following up in that order.

Like Balzan, Carmen Hili, also of St Patricks' AC, had tuned up for her Malta Marathon victory last Sunday with the Attard 10K which she won ahead of Pauline Vella and Michelle Wood.

The first Attard Athletics Club member home in the race last month was Saviour Agius.
