Disc jockey Norman Cook, better known as "Fatboy Slim", has entered rehab to fight alcoholism.

"He is voluntarily getting treatment for an alcohol problem," his manager Gary Blackburn told Reuters, adding that the 45-year-old's treatment would not affect any planned gigs. "We expect to see him back in action real soon," he added.

Brighton-based Cook, who is married to former Radio 1 DJ Zoe Ball, 38, has made no secret of his love of drinking and hard partying.

He once remarked in an interview that the only difference between himself and his alias Fatboy was "a bad Hawaiian shirt and a bottle of vodka".

The location of the rehab clinic has not been disclosed.
