The Opposition's spokesman on the Infrastructure, Charles Buhagiar, today welcomed an announcement by Minister Austin Gatt that a temporary structure is to be erected at Cirkewwa until a passenger terminal is built there.
Mr Buhagiar said the announcement was only made after the PL had noted that the building of the terminal, promised for 15 years, had not materialised.
Mr Buhagiar said he could not understand how Dr Gatt was arguing that the government would save money through the re-design of the terminal when hundreds of thousands of euro had been wasted on consultatncy work.
