Critical after falling down the stairs

A 25-year-old man was critically injured when he fell down a flight of steps at his home in Żebbuġ, Gozo in what the police believe was an accident.

The man was rushed to Gozo's General Hospital by ambulance but later transferred to Mater Dei Hospital by helicopter.

Sources said there were other people in the house but they told the police they did not see the man fall.

The police are investigating.
