McDonald's Depiro boosted their chances of winning the women's league this season with the signing of Kaila Agius, a Canadian player of Maltese descent.
She holds an impressive record, having played Senior Varsity for five years, averaging 22 points and 10 rebounds per game in her final year.
She was also captain of her team for three years, awarded MVP twice and chosen as a Niagara All-Star in her senior years.
"I am excited about the opportunity to help Depiro win, I will do whatever they need me to do, whether it's to score, rebound or defend," Agius was reported as saying in a statement upon her arrival yesterday.
