Bulgarian clubs were up in arms over the Bulgarian Football Union's (BFU) decision to postpone the re-start of the domestic championship by one week because of bad weather.

"I wonder how we're going to stimulate clubs to modernise their stadiums since we're still reckoning with those who don't observe the rules," said league leaders Levski Sofia's chief executive Konstantin Bazhdekov.

Some Bulgarian clubs are still facing considerable infrastructure difficulties and are struggling to meet conditions set by UEFA.

"We'll lodge a claim against the BFU for damages as we've already spend more than 20,000 levs ($13,110) in recent days to heat our pitch," Bazhdekov said.

"The BFU confused things again," said champions CSKA Sofia's chief executive Alexandar Todorov. "It's a complete chaos."

The matches due to be played between Feb. 27 and Mar. 2, have been rescheduled for the end of next week.
