The second volume of Charles Frederick de Brocktorff: Watercolours Of Malta At The National Library, Valletta, has just been published.

The volume examines 42 watercolours in detail depicting views of Valletta St John's Co-Cathedral, the Governor's Palace, the National Library and the Auberge de Castille.

The first volume, which won the prestigious National Book Award 2008, had featured Maltese rural landscapes and the social customs of the time.

Its success has encouraged National Library staff and those involved to embark on the second volume to provide the public with another high-quality production.
