CAMILLERI. On February 23, at her residence in Żurrieq, ANGELA, aged 90, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Joseph and her sister Cristina, her brother-in-law Francis Gauci, her nieces Mary Gauci, Ċettina and her husband Mario Axiak, Catherine and her husband Dr Joseph Farrugia, Josephine and her husband Joseph Cassar, Theresa and her husband Ray Aquilina, her nephew Dr John Gauci and his wife Vickie, their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves her residence today at 3.15 p.m. for St Catherine's parish church, Żurrieq, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment at St Leo Cemetery, Żurrieq. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Frans (ex-Air Malta), her daughter Alison and her husband Trevor Shaw, her son Owen and his girlfriend Claudia, her most cherished grandchildren Conor and Lauren, her brothers Jerry, Tony, Charles and their respective wives, her brothers-in-law Wilfred and Joe of Canada and their respective wives, her sister-in-law Maryrita Zammit and her husband, nephews and nieces and their families, relatives and friends, including those at the National Council of Women and the Floral Club. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday at 8.30 a.m. for the parish church of Attard where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at the Attard cemetery. CASSAR. On February 24, at Mount Carmel Hospital, Attard, CHARLES of St Julians, aged 62, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris, his sister Vivian, his brother Tony and his wife Angela, his nephew Adam and his niece Kimberly, in-laws, their respective families, other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Minka, née Kovacic, his daughters Marinka, Anna, Nadine and her husband Gianni Merola, and Tanja and her husband Joseph Cassar, his grandchildren Mateja and her husband Reuben Farrugia, Giovanni and his fiancée Martina, Valentina, Giuli and Luigi, and Caroline, his great-grandsons Max and Alex, his sister Evelyn Spiteri Maempel, his brothers Frank and Lino, nephews and nieces, his dedicated friend Carmel Zammit Pulo, and his many relatives and friends. Inter-religious conference

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Malta will be holding an inter-religious conference on the topic of Religion's Founders Day at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, Floriana, on March 6 at 7 p.m. Speakers from different religions will deliver talks on the life and works of their religious founder and on the respect they have for their holy persons.

Roadworks

Road resurfacing works will start on Main Street, Balzan today and continue until March 10. The road will be closed to traffic.

The works will start on the carriageway in Main Street between St Valentine Street and the parish church, along Old Railway Road at the junction with Good Shepherd Avenue, along Patri Ġużè Delia Street at the junction with Kannizzata Street and along Qarċilla Street between St Francis Street and Kannizzata Street.

Traffic will be diverted through Annibale Preca Street, Lija during school hours (8 to 8.45 a.m. and 2.15 to 3 p.m.) and through Robert Mifsud Bonnici Street, Lija, after school hours.

YWCA activity

As part of Women's Week, YWCA (Malta) will be holding an Open Day at Peach & Sorrel Beauty Salon at 270 Fleur-de-Lys Road, Fleur-de-Lys on March 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Qualified beauty therapists will be offering beauty treatments against donations. These include massages, facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures, make-up, nail extension refills and even complete nail extensions. Notice to divers

Divers are being asked to be prudent between March 30 and April 3 when Mater Dei Hospital's hyperbaric unit will be closed for maintenance.

The health authorities said that, while the unit would still be able to handle diving emergencies, it was prudent not to do multiple dives in a day and abstain from decompression diving.

A hyperbaric unit is used to deliver oxygen at elevated levels.
