An 18-year-old man was slightly injured during a hold-up at a confectionery shop in Wilga Street, San Gwann late yesterday, the police said.

The incident happened when an armed and hooded man entered the shop and demanded cash. The man, who works in the shop, handed over the cash, which did not exceed €200.

It was not clear how the shop keeper was injured.

A 15-year-old girl who was in the shop was not hurt.

The hold-up was the second in just over two hours. Earlier, some €100 were stolen in a hold-up on a shop in Balzan.
