Joe Micallef (February 13) branded Flimkien Għal Ambjent Aħjar and Astrid Vella as fundamentalists and he also sowed doubt about the integrity of FAA and Ms Vella in particular.

Mr Micallef should publish any information he has that either FAA or Ms Vella have an interest in the sale of any building in the vicinity of St John's Co-Cathedral.

In the meantime, while I respect Mr Micallef's right to be in favour of any project, I would also invite him to look at the experts' opinions about this project and he may then change his opinion. I am afraid that his letter may be the start of an organised smear campaign against principled organisations and individuals who fight for their ideals to save what is left of our heritage. Thus I assure him this is being done without any personal gain and at great personal sacrifice to those involved.

I would invite Mr Micallef to join us in our efforts for the good of our country.
