Yada's anniversary show - 25, A Filigree Of Dance - will fire up the senses and open with a red carpet event hosted by Canale 5's top dance stars Steve La Chance and Kledi Kadiu.

Yada will be celebrating its 25th silver anniversary in style with a unique dance spectacle at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in Valletta, on March 6 and 8 and from March 13 to 15.

The show promises to be an extravaganza of dance, music and lights, bringing together the company's most creative pieces of their repertoire, from Moulin Rouge to Dirty Dancing, Mamma Mia, Riverdance to Dreamgirls, Tango, High School Musical, Madonna and more.

The versatile company, established in 1984, has a repertoire ranging from glamorous cabaret shows to top major theatrical productions.

Over the years Yada performed in countries such as Germany, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, the UK, Dubai, Tunisia and Turkey.

Director Felix Busuttil choreographed various music videos, most of which were winners in the Malta Song for Europe and others were produced by the Malta Film Commission.

Mr Busuttil said: "I have been waiting for this day for 25 years, to compile all the best we have in one show. It's a dream come true".

With a cast of 350 dancers, established singers, gymnasts and guest artistes, and mainly incorporating male dancers, the event will be held under the patronage of Janatha Stubbs, who, together with her late husband, Paddy, was a pioneer of the dance company.

The event will feature works by renowned set designer Peter Howitt. Awarded 10 Oscar nominations, Mr Hewitt's film productions include Braveheart, Elizabeth, The Mummy and Four Feathers.
