The new Banking on Women (BoW) committee of HSBC Malta has pledged to work to further women's careers.

"Self-development is at the core of their BoW mission, providing assistance to women to advance in their career while encouraging a healthy work-life balance," current president Pauline Azzopardi said.

"Our programme of events includes workshops and information sessions on topics ranging from Feng Shui to enhancing managerial skills, stress management. BoW gives us a chance to network through a number of social events."

Banking on Women boasts 137 members, from clerical to managerial staff at HSBC Bank Malta plc. The group was set up seven years ago.

During the AGM, members assessed last year's activities and approved proposals for this year's calendar which will feature events involving interior design, cookery courses and wine tasting, and work-related issues like management skills, public speaking and lateral thinking.
