Palm tree registration procedure

After my letter Registration Of Palm Trees (February 17) was published, my attention was kindly drawn to the Plant Health Department website www.planthealth.gov.mt where information on the registration procedure, including useful pictures of the palm trees concerned, is very clearly posted.

The relevant registration form is also to be found, and this may be completed online, printed out and faxed through to the department as I have since done myself.

Unfortunately this website was not brought to the information of the general public when the report on the news conference given by the director, Plant Health Department, was carried in The Times on February 6, the day the regulations were published in the Government Gazette.
