Carnival activities in Valletta will continue all night on Saturday and shops will stay open in a new version of Notte Bianca, the chairman of the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts said.

In another change from previous years, part of Freedom Square is to be accessible, free of charge, to revellers, whereas in the past it used to be restricted to fee paying patrons.
