Obituary

BUHAGIAR. On February 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, EUGÉNIE, née Zammit, widow of Leone, of Paola, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Mario and his wife Liliana, née Porsella-Flores, Anthony and his wife Marie, née Calleja, and Elda and her husband Philip Borg, her grandchildren Ingrid and her husband Daniel Camilleri, Keith and his wife Sarah, née Pule', Patrick and his wife Roberta, née Calleja, Jean Pierre and his wife Marlene, née Galea and Daniel, her great-grandson Benjamin, her brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 8.30 a.m. at Christ the King parish church, Paola, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

PACE. On February 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, née Gordon, widow of Joseph, of Valletta, residing at Birkirkara, at the venerable age of 100, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Charles and Dorothy, George and Mary, Paul and Josephine, Jane, widow of Joseph Fiteni, Vivienne, wife of Joseph Portelli, Louis and Maryanne, Anthony and Carmen, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8 a.m. for St Joseph the Worker parish church, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

TUA. On February 13, RINA, née Cachia, widow of Robert Aldo, two days short of her 87th birthday, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children MarieTherese and Maurice Zarb Adami, Robert and Anna, Lucienne and Anthony Borg Caruana, Richard and Vicky, Isabella and David Farrugia, Arthur and Claire, and John and Roberta, her grandchildren Adrienne and Kathleen, Julienne and Helena, Kris and Daniela, Rachel and Sarah, Andrew and Matthew, Alan and Jeremy, Carl and Julia, her seven great-grandchildren, her sisters Tettie Grech Marguerat, Josephine Attard Montalto and Ninette Camilleri, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 2 p.m. at Attard parish church, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Requiem Masses

On the third anniversary of the death of MATTHEW SALIBA, the 5.45 p.m. Mass celebrated on February 16 at the chapel of Dar Manwel Magri, Msida, will be offered for the repose of his soul. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

Special postmark

Maltapost will be using a special hand postmark tomorrow at the Hotel Phoenicia on the occasion of the 60th anniversary from the founding of the Malta Cultural Institute. The postmark is also available from the Philatelic Bureau at 305, Qormi Road, Marsa.
