Leonard Cassar, 54 was conditionally discharged for two years today after he admitted before a court to having resisted and slightly injured a policeman.

The incident happened when two police officers asked Mr Cassar not to throw too much water onto the road while washing his car last Sunday in Kirkop.

An argument ensued and PC Brian Seychell suffered slight injuries.

Mr Cassar admitted to slightly injuring the officer, resisting the police, disobeying their orders and breaching the public peace.

Magistrate Edwina Grima after taking into consideration Mr Cassar’s clean police record, his early guilty plea and that he apologised for his actions conditionally discharged him for two years.
