Obituary
GRECH. On February 10. ANTOINETTE née Vella, aged 86, wife of the late John, passed away peacefully at her residence in Victoria, Gozo. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Grace, widow of Anthony, Felix and his wife Lora, Frances wife of Frank, Mario and his wife Maria, her grandchildren Joann, Danielle, Marietta, Simone, Miriam, Jennifer, Anabel and Andrew, her sisters Carmena, Georgina, Paola and Tessie, her great grandchildren, family and friends. The funeral leaves today at 3.15 p.m. from Savina Square to the Gozo Cathedral where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at St Mary's Cemetery, Xewkija. No flowers by request but donations to Arka Foundation will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
GRIMA. On February 10, Charles, aged 74, from Guardamangia, former personnel manager with Central Cigarettes Co. Ltd, passed peacefully away at home, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Miriam, his sons and daughters Noel, Patricia and her boyfriend, Robert, Caroline and her boyfriend Henry, his siblings and the siblings of his wife, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for St Cajetan parish church in Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be greatly appreciated. The family regrets not being in a position to receive visitors.
PACE. On February 10, GARY aged 25 of Tarxien, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his parents Tony and Maryanne, his fiancée Mariella, his son Kaziah, his brothers and sisters Gilbert and his fiancée Heidi, Antoine and his fiancée Jessica his sisters Joanna and her fiancé Josef, Amy and her fiancé Michael and Josefa, his grandmother Concetta, his uncles, cousins other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.30 a.m. for the Lunzjata church in Tarxien where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. PANZAVECCHIA. On February 10, Mariuccia, aged 53, from Sliema, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her mother Antoniette, her brother Mark, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30 p.m. for the Addolorata chapel where mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. SULTANA. On February 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL of Valletta, residing at Ħamrun, passed away peacefully just two days after his 75th birthday, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Kitty, née Vella Tanti, his two sons Adrian and his wife Pauline and Paul and his wife Angela, his grandchildren Sephora, Charlotte, Jean Paul and Gabriella, his brother John and his wife Lina, his sister Maria and her husband Albert, and Frances, widow of his brother Achille, his wife's brother and sister France and Betty, and also several dear and respectful nephews, nieces, friends and past pupils. TABONE VALETTA. On February 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, Rose née Ebejer, aged 81, of Valletta residing in Paola, widow of Livy, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Livy, Judy, Leofric, Keith, Giles, Petta and their spouses, her sister Rita of Canada, her brothers Joseph and Franco and their spouses, grandchildren, relatives and friends. VELLA. On February 9, Sister MARIA, aged 93, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the sisters of St Dorothy of the Malta Province and her relatives. The funeral will take place today at the Mdina Cathedral where mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Żebbug cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Missions of St Dorothy will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Archbishop to address Laity
The theme chosen by the Archdiocese of Malta for the celebration of the Christian Laity during the Pauline Year is In Christ Jesus: Fundamental Christian Attitudes According To St Paul.
Archbishop Paul Cremona will be presiding over a meeting for lay people on Friday at 6.30 p.m., at the MUSEUM Auditorium in Blata l-Bajda.
The event is open to members of religious Catholic associations and movements and to lay people engaged in pastoral work at parish level. The programme includes a talk by Anthony Frendo on the theme for this year followed by Mgr Cremona's address. The Christian Laity Day will be celebrated on Sunday.
