(Updates with details, changes number of migrants caught)

A number of migrants, thought to have been 15, escaped from Safi detention camp this morning, informed sources said.

Eleven were caught soon after.

The sources said the escaped migrants were thought to be Indian, Tunisian, Egyptian and Moroccan, who had learnt that they would be deported,

The sources said searches are currently under way by AFM and Detention Centre officials around and, as a precautionary measure, also inside the airport perimeter.
