All eight guns of the Saluting Battery at the Upper Barrakka Gardens were fired this afternoon in a general salute to mark the feast of St Paul's Shipwreck.

The re-enactment, presented by Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna, was watched by hundreds of people who crowded the barrakka.

At the Church of St Paul's Shipwreck, Archbishop Paul Cremona led a Pontifical Mass. President Eddie Fenech Adami led the congregation.
