There were 11 applications from Maltese to fill posts at the European Court of Human Rights. One was a Chief Justice, judges, a magistrate and lawyers.

Answering a parliamentary question by Helena Dalli (PL), Justice Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici said nine of the applicants were men and two were women.
