The University Chaplaincy is organising voluntary work this summer for young people in Lourdes, Bari, Egypt and Ethiopia in collaboration with Inygo, and in Manila, The Philippines, in collaboration with the Institute for World Evangelisation (ICPE) mission.

During July, volunteers will have the opportunity of either having spiritual and community experiences with children in two regions in Egypt, or interacting with other young people who will be assisting the sick in Lourdes, while group of 16 volunteers will organise a summer school in a depressed area in Bari.

In August, another group will be undertaking voluntary service at the Mother Teresa Home of the Dying in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

In the Philippines, young adults aged 18 to 30 will be able to experience missionary work, reaching out to children and families in need, between July 26 and August 18.

In preparation for these voluntary work experiences, formation meetings are planned for the separate groups and for all the volunteers together, and activities will be held to raise funds for the poor.
