Solidarity with ST workers
The Nationalist Party's Workers Solidarity branch, Alternattiva Demokratika and the General Workers' Union yesterday expressed solidarity with those employees of STMicroelectronics who are about to be laid off. ST Microelectronics will be shedding up to 450 employees this year, in line with its plans to downsize its worldwide operations. Of these, 250 to 300 jobs are expected to be lost through retirement or the non-renewal of temporary contract work.

What about the right to information to the workers.
ST Workers were not informed by the company about the current situation. The company should have told them a long before. The management's attitude or the company's attitude went against EU Directive on the right to information. Workers have families to feed.
The Nationalist Party's Workers should have said that in the PR so workers will know.
But in Malta we are Europeans when we feel like.
