Carl Bonnici, 30, was today granted bail against a personal guarantee of €10,000 and a deposit of a €1,000 after pleading not guilty to shooting the ceiling of Morning Star, his restaurant in St Thomas Bay, Marsascala, following an argument with his 20-year-old girlfriend.

He was also charged with threatening the girl, holding her against her will, firing a gun in an inhabited area, slightly injuring his girlfriend and damaging her mobile phone.
