Magic Kiosk removal can continue
The First Hall of the Civil Court this morning appointed an expert to supervise the removal of movable items from the Magic Kiosk in Sliema, thus clearing the way for a resumption of the clearance of the kiosk in St Anne Square.
The demolition of the kiosk started on January 9 but was interrupted by Court proceedings on the disposal of the aluminium structure and the removal of movable items.
Mr Justice Geoffrey Valenzia this morning appointed an expert to oversee the removal of the items today week.

@ John Pace. To what "colour" are you referring? What makes you think that others allow "colour" to cloud their opinion? Unfortunately, people like you insist on inserting “political colour” into every discussion. Perhaps you do not understand that many people are quite capable of making comments objectively based only on their sense of right and wrong irrespective of “political colour”. Finally, before you consider regaling us with any more of your thoughts, may I suggest that you consider taking one or two courses in English composition with a strong emphasis on grammar, and perhaps a small investment in a dictionary?

What's wrong in giving back to the general public his land . ? Let us give back to the public his land at Armier and St Thomas Bay or any other land occupied by arrogants and opportunists. The political party and politician who will give back public land to the general public stands to gain and no lose

I am not aware of the obvious political and emotional background to the Magic Kiosk. I can only comment on the fact that, on my many holidays to Malta in recent years, I have eaten and had a drink there, and it has always been a very busy place for both tourists and Maltese, providing employment and input to the local economy. On my next visit in September, I look forward to seeing what will have taken its place. I only hope that it will not just be left to decay further, because of a lack of forethought or investment. If that is what happens, then the Magic Kiosk would have been better left where it was.

If only Mr.Pace thanked his stars for every single day that we general public let him make money out of our land, and he paid to the very last hour his team of employees he would have been much less criticized.
But like greedy old scrooge he wanted more and more out of the land which was never his in the first place.
Lets make Malta public land enjoyed by its citizens and much less by bosses and profit makers only.

@ John Pace
Invoking Christianity to gain mileage over you unfounded argument is nothing else but sheer cowardice. Get your act together if you are a man!! Bullies like Mr. Pace and his then associates who had ruled with tyranny during the dark years of the the 70s and mid 80s were surely Christians too in your bleak perception! That is why they had literally thrown out the Bonello family to favourably accommodate Mr. Joe Pace. It would have been more appropriate if Mr Joe Pace had been actually thrown out long ago, when due, to taste a fraction of the bitterness he has caused to the Bonello family. Take stock of the whole situation Mr. Pace unless you prefer to keep talking nonsense.

@ John Pace
How quick and holier-than-thou some people like you are to play the "Christian" card in cases like this. Where was your "Christian" sentiment when Mr. Pace and his family used their political connections to remove the Bonello family from the site thereby denying them their livelihood? Or is it that you think that the Pace family is more "Christian" and more deserving than the Bonello family? There is an old saying in Maltese, "Alla ma jħallasx bin-nhar ta' Sibt." Another old saying in English, at least in North America, "What goes around, comes around." Good riddance to bad rubbish.

@ riota camilleri - what are they waiting for. Because the honourable courts nominated a person to act for Joe Pace, and this expert informed the government that he will be available on Friday 13th February - therefore works can only restart from the 13th and lets hope this isn't a trick on the part of Joe Pace. Where it for me, I would ignore the court and continue the works. THAT IS THE PUBLIC INTEREST and not JOE PACE or the Court appointed expert.
